Rentals
At Northland Music Center LLC customer satisfaction is our most important goal. Receiving a musical education can be the most fulfilling part of your students school day, providing a constructive therapeutic means of expression and communication. Our Store has been a part of the musical community in northern Wisconsin for 15 years, formerly Lakeland Music and Supply. As a local business and member of the local musical community our dedication to you as a local consumer is our number one priority.
Rental Program
Our rental program provides parents a commitment free instrument with a rent-to-own option. New students are eligible for a three month trial period, rent one month and receive two free, and during that time the student may choose to change instruments. All payments made during your contract will transfer to your store account towards the purchase of your instrument. New students will receive quality rental instruments, guaranteed by our on-site repair technician, and within the first year of your contract date you may choose to trade up for a brand-name new instrument of your choosing, all monies paid will transfer to the new instrument. Your monthly payment will cover one yearly chemical flushing, and general maintenance of your instrument, and the remainder of your payment, tax included, will be credit towards the purchase of your instrument. In many cases your new band student’s instrument can be delivered and retrieved from his or her school.
Monthly Rental Fees
$35 - Flute, Clarinet, Trombone, Trumpet, Drum and Bell Kits, Violin 
$45 - Alto saxophone, Oboe, Single French horn, Acoustic Guitar*, Electric Guitar (w/Amp)*, Drum Kit*
$55 - Tenor Saxophone
$65 - Double French horn, Baritone Saxophone
*Subject to approval by management. Renters must be enrolled in formal lessons to be approved.
Instrument Maintenance
At Northland Music our on-site repair person has 54 years experience in brass and woodwind instrument repair. In his years of experience he has discovered the only way to fully clean and sanitize an instrument is to chemically flush the instrument with a fluid similar to what hospitals use for sanitation. Many other stores only use a more cost effective aerosol spray. While this method costs less, we feel that the health and safety of the future musicians in the community is the most important factor. The chemical flushing is completely effective in removing both bacteria and old saliva, where in most cases the aerosol method is only effective in temporarily removing bacteria.
In addition to rental instruments, we have all the accessories in stock that your child will need. We carry all school method books, reeds, maintenance kits, straps and any other accessory your student could use. Any item we do not have in stock that you may require we would be happy to special order it for you!
